PAT Tables

Fabreeka's® Precision-Aire™ series table provides a self-leveling work surface and low frequency isolation in laboratories, cleanrooms and inspection areas where footfall and structural vibration can decrease performance reliability and accuracy.

The PAT tables are designed to support payloads of 400 lbs to 2,500 lbs [170 kg to 1100 kg]. A range of sizes and work surface options is available. (See tables below).

The work surface is isolated by four pneumatic isolators which have a vertical and horizontal natural frequency as low as 1.5 Hz. Leveling valves provide accurate, repeatable leveling of the work surface.

The pneumatic isolators utilize laminar flow damping, which improves settling after movement and stability for varying load conditions.

  • 48" high Acrylic Enclosure
  • Lean Bar
  • Armrest for Lean Bar
  • Fixed Equipment Shelf (10" wide)
  • Sliding Equipment Shelf (10" wide)
  • Casters (Set of 4)
  • Ultra Quiet Air Compressor

Note: Front and rear lean bars are required for use with sliding shelves and enclosures.

Environmental enclosures are made of black or clear acrylic within a sturdy aluminum frame, which mounts directly to the lean bars. Hinged doors and/or cable ports are provided for equipment access. Light-tight enclosures are available upon request.

Faraday cages shield 60 Hz [50 Hz] unwanted electromagnetic interference (EMI) radiating from lab instrument sources. Design features include easily removable panels, hinged front panels, cable access holes, a 48" [1219mm] height and a 30 x 30 copper wire mesh. Special sizes are available upon request.

A vibration site survey/analysis will determine the levels of vibration existing at your site, which is essential for proper vibration control recommendations to be made. Please contact Fabreeka's® Engineering Department for assistance with your particular application or if you would like information regarding a vibration site survey.

Some typical Precision-Aire™ PAT applications include:

  • Microscopes
  • Electro-Optical and Vision Systems
  • Micropositioning
  • Wafer Inspection
  • Biomedical

Faraday Cages

For electrophysiologists performing neurological and patch clamping work, Faraday cages shield 60 Hz (50 Hz) unwanted electromagnetic interference (EMI) radiating from lab instrument sources. Design features include easily removable panels, hinged front panels, cable access holes, a 48 inch (1219 mm) height and a 30 x 30 copper wire mesh, which provides up to 80 dB reduction at 100 MHz.

The cages are shipped completely assembled and are secured to the table using front and rear lean bars. Alternately, the cages may be floor mounted. FabreekaŽ supplies cages and light-proof enclosures to integrate with custom or existing applications.

ISO Tab-L's (Tabletop Platforms)

Fabreeka's® Precision-Aire™ ISO Tab-L tabletop platforms are ideal for desktops in laboratories and QC rooms, where they effectively isolate structural and floor vibration. Isolation is provided in the vertical and horizontal axes by pneumatic isolators located beneath the work surface. A protective shroud is supplied with all models, which is isolated from the working surface and protects the system from accidental jarring.

The compact design of the ISO Tab-L enables a working height of 3" to 3.75" [75mm to 95mm] and will support and isolate precision instruments weighing between 50 lbs and 900 lbs [22 kg to 400 kg]. Each model ISO Tab-L requires an air supply of no more than 60 psi [4 bar], and access to inflate/deflate the isolators is provided by convenient ports located on the side of each system.

Leveling of the ISO Tab-L surface is performed via the regulator control units with air supplied from a manual pump or dedicated source. The pressure at each isolator can be adjusted manually to accommodate changes in load distribution.

  • Microscopes
  • Surface Analyzers
  • Roundness / Hardness Testers
  • Balances
  • Precision Scales

Hi Fidelity Vibration Isolation Platforms and Tables

Structural vibration in the floor can cause resonant frequencies in support frames and shelving to vibrate. Shock created by footfalls and slamming doors do the same. Moreover, when music blasts from your speakers, the vibrations not only hit your ears, but also your stereo equipment. The circuits in a CD player, a turntable or amplifier transmit the audio signals from the disc or vinyl record as analog wave forms. The vibrations from your speakers, as well as the external vibrations add "jitter" and distort the wave forms creating a duller, blurrier sound.

In summary, you don't hear all of the music on your disk or vinyl record.

Fabreeka's® HF series ISO Tab-L platform is ideal for isolating unwanted vibration and shock, which can exist in your home or studio. Vibration isolation is provided in the vertical and horizontal axes by pneumatic isolators located beneath the top surface. A protective shroud is supplied on all models, which is isolated with the top surface and protects the isolation platform from accidental jarring or bumping.

The compact design enables a working height of 4" and will support power amps and other Hi-Fi equipment weighing up to 80 lbs. (36 Kg). Each HF series ISO Tab-L requires an air supply of no more than 50 psi (3.4 bar). Access to inflate/deflate the platform is provided by convenient ports located on the side of each unit. The HF series isolation platform weighs significantly less than other platforms with steel tops. Maximum weight is only 74 lbs (33 Kg).

Leveling of the platform surface is performed via the control knobs located on the front of each unit.

HF Series ISO Tab-L Platform General Specifications

The HF Series vibration isolation platform is 20" x 24"; however, custom dimensions are available to meet your application requirements. All HF models are supplied with a black, polished granite top.

Natural Frequency:

  • Vertical 3.0 Hz
  • Horizontal 2.3 Hz
Shroud Options:
  • Cherry

Optional HF Series Equipment:

  • Ultra-Quiet compressor
Fabreeka's® ultra-quiet (just 35 dB at 1M) compressors are clean, portable and provide all the air you need with plenty to spare - even when you run multiple isolation platforms or tables. The compressor operates intermittently based on air usage, monitored by a sensor that maintains the reserve tank's pressure at a preset minimum. Safety valve, fittings and filter/regulator unit come standard.

Precision-Aire™ HiFi (Free Standing) Vibration Isolation Tables

Fabreeka® also manufactures free-standing vibration isolation tables, which can be designed into high-end LP turntables and other Hi-Fi equipment. These tables provide greater isolation than the platform-style tables. Vertical and horizontal natural frequencies are as low as 1.0 Hz.

Features of these tables:

  • Precision Leveling Valve
  • Isolated top surface available in granite or epoxy damped, black laminated steel
  • Standard, 19-inch, rack mountable panels are integrated into the table for instrument accessories
  • Each table includes covers to match your existing equipment
  • Ultra-quiet compressor included (see above)
