Fabcel® Pads
Fabcel® is a high-quality elastomer molded into 18" x 18" scientifically designed vibration and shock isolation pads. Fabcel® pads may be cut to sizes smaller than 18" x 18" or placed side by side for areas larger than 18" x 18" and stacked for softer systems. The Fabcel® pad surfaces have patented molded recessed offset cells to allow flow of the elastomer when under load, while maintaining lateral stability. This design eliminates the shape factor usually associated with elastomeric materials and provides a positive grip to machine foot and floor when under load. Fabcel® pads are available in load ranges from 5 to 300 psi.

Some features and benefits of Fabcel® pads:
- Permit low cost machinery mounting by eliminating the need for drilling, bolts, lag screws or adhesives
- Reduce vibration, absorb shock and control noise
- Prevent machinery from walking or creeping
- Increase productivity and reduce maintenance time
- Meet OSHA requirements for anchoring machines
- Square cells on each side of Fabcel® pads provide a positive grip between machine foot and the floor
- Uniform arrangement of square cells allows deflection under load
- Resist permanent set, oil, cleaning compounds, effects of sunlight or air
- Will not absorb oil or water
- Cell pattern prevents the intrusion of foreign materials beneath the load bearing area of the pad
- Easily cut with scissors or sharp knife for ease of application
Some practical aspects and considerations when using Fabcel® pads:
- Greater lateral stability is achieved through the square cell design, which provides continuous bearing areas on both sides of the pad and in all directions
- Offset cell construction of Fabcel® 25, 50 and 100 pads (cells on opposite sides of pad offset from each other) provide positive grip under lighter loads
- Specially-designed cell patterns for Fabcel® 200 and 300 pads provide optimum stability and vibration isolation for heavier loads
- Mercury free

Strength in Compression
Since Fabcel® is a rubber pad, it really has no compressive strength failure point as such.

Resistance To Water, Oil And Heat
Fabcel® pads are resistant to most oils, water, steam and chemicals. Maximum temperature limits for continuous exposure for Fabcel® pads are 200°F (95°C), except Fabcel® 25, which is 150°F (65°C).
Sizes
Fabcel® pads are manufactured in 18" x 18" squares. Fabcel® pads may be cut to sizes smaller than 18" x 18" or placed side by side for areas larger than 18" x 18" and stacked for softer systems.
Multiple Layers
When the disturbing frequency is very low and the isolation requirements are critical, multiple layer isolators of Fabcel® pads are necessary. Multiple layer isolators are supplied with a Fabreeka® pad located every third layer for added strength and stability. The layers are integrally bonded together.
The addition of Fabreeka® pads, while adding excellent high frequency isolation, controls lateral flow of rubber and vertical deflection to stabilize the relatively tall isolators.
Fabcel's® cellular design permits a larger deflection under load than a solid rubber material of the same thickness. This results in lower natural frequency and greater isolation.
Fabcel® multiple layer isolators can be placed directly under a machine or its support. If a narrow structural steel member is used as a machine support or base, it may be necessary to increase the isolator support area by including a steel load distribution plate at each isolator location or one large plate for all isolators. Good design of multiple layer isolators requires that mounts should not be narrower than twice the thickness.
