DIMFAB 280 Pads
|

DIMFAB 280 is a low durometer elastomeric compound that meets the qualification requirements for Distributed Isolation Material (DIM) specified for use in US Navy submarines and surface ships. It is a proven solution where structure-borne noise, shock or vibration is a problem. These relatively inexpensive mounting pads are specifically designed to perform successfully in applications where DIM mounts are required.
DIMFAB 280 is available in standard 18" x18" pads. A major feature of these pads is that they can be readily cut to any desired shape or size for easy installation in a wide variety of applications.

Some features and benefits of DIMFAB pads:
- Reduce structure-borne noise
- Reduce vibration
- Cushion shock
- Exhibit good drift resistance
- Withstand hostile environments
- Meet or exceed Naval specifications regarding environmental requirements including salt spray, temperature storage, oil immersion, ozone, etc.
- Easy installation
Some practical aspects and considerations when using DIMFAB pads:
- Easily cut with scissors or sharp knife for ease of installation
- Easily stacked for greater thicknesses (alternate rib direction at each layer, and add thin, 16 GA, steel plate every third layer - e.g. 6 layers has 1 steel plate)
- Retain resilience
- Long service life
- Mercury free
