In addition to our standard line of vibration isolators, Fabreeka® regularly designs and builds custom solutions for special applications and original equipment manufacturers.
Pneumatic isolation systems have been designed and installed with a vertical natural frequency as low as 0.5 Hz. Additionally, the horizontal natural frequency of custom pneumatic isolators can be designed to exhibit natural frequencies as low as 0.4 Hz using pendulums and/or compound tuned pendulums.
Many types of precision manufacturing equipment and isolated foundations (reaction masses) cannot accept large deflections and long settling times associated with ultra-low frequency isolation systems. However, Fabreeka's® expertise includes a variety of highly accurate leveling valves, adjustable isolator damping and dynamic analysis programs to accurately model the payload and isolator response to payload induced and transient inputs.
Fabreeka® leveling valves have repeatable accuracies from 0.005" to 0.0001" with either fast or slow flow rates for optimum response in conjunction with adjustable isolator damping from 5% - 20% of critical. Unique designs include a combination of pneumatic and fluidic damping techniques for higher damping values.
In addition to the custom requirements above, Fabreeka® has also provided pneumatic isolators which operate in high vacuum (10-8 Torr), and thermo-vacuum chambers. The materials and finishes are NASA approved and are compatible with Class 1 chamber requirements. (Please see Aerospace Applications.) |
