Mining
Bumpers - Fabreeka® bumpers reduce the harmful effects of dynamic forces that can develop when two or more objects strike each other. For example, a crane stop at the end of a runway, or a dipper on a shovel. Control Rooms - To maintain uninterrupted electric service, all electrical equipment and control panels can be isolated from the destructive shock and vibration forces generated at the mines with Fabcel® isolators. Cranes - Fabreeka®-LTP Crane Rail pads placed beneath the rails on overhead bridge cranes reduce shock, vibration and structure-borne noise to both the crane and its support. They also eliminate wear between the rail and support and reduce maintenance. Crushers - Fabreeka® isolation is placed between the primary and secondary crusher units base and support structure. Draglines / Shovels - Fabreeka® load distributing ring cushion is placed under both the upper (revolving frame) rail and the lower (tub) rail to improve the life of the rollers, rails and supporting structure by reducing peak roller loads. Fabreeka® cushions have also been used to extend the life of the crowd equalizer rope and associated hardware. Drills - Fabreeka® pads, washers and bushings are used to reduce impact shock and vibration into the drill extending its service life. Exhaust Gas Duct Supports - Fabreeka® isolators are placed under the support to protect the ducts form harmful effects of shock and vibration, thereby prolonging their useful life. Feeders - Apron feeders have been successfully supported on 12" thick Fabreeka® pads to protect the support structure from the damaging effects of falling materials from the hopper above. Furnaces - The use of Fabreeka® isolation protects refractory from the transient shock impulses generated by nearby equipment. Grizzly Bars - Fabreeka® shock pads are used to protect both the concrete support and grizzly from the destructive forces generated by falling objects, thereby preventing costly down-time. Hoppers/Chutes - Fabreeka® impact absorbing pads reduce the damaging effects of falling ore, rocks, limestone or other materials that are being dumped into the hoppers leading to the crushers. Fabreeka® also compensates for non-uniform loads from structure settlement, non-parallelism between the hopper base, as well as unequal weight distribution. Mine and/or Rail Cars - Fabreeka® is used to reduce shock, vibration and structure-borne noise on these cars, especially on the journal box, body and frame. Personnel Cars (steel wheel cars)- Fabreeka® is used as sway bar bushings, wear pads, spring seat pads, journal, base and slide guides, motor mounts and to reduce structure-borne noise between the car body and frame. Rock Breakers - Fabreeka® pads, washers and bushings are placed between the rock breaker base and its support to eliminate anchor bolt breakage and grout failure. Scales - In many instances, scales have been isolated with Fabreeka® or Fabcel® to maintain accurate readings and protect the load cells or other recording device. Screens - Fabreeka® pads are used in lieu of, or in conjunction with, steel coil springs to prevent broken coils. This eliminates lost production time while the spring is being replaced. Underground Loader - Fabreeka® impact pads protect vital parts and components on this type of equipment. Click to see project overviews/case histories for mining.
