Oil Rigs, Surface Vessels and Undersea Vessels
There are a variety of Fabreeka® products which are used in marine applications. Fabreeka® pads have been effectively used to isolate marine propulsion engines. DIMFAB pads have been used onboard surface and undersea vessels to isolate vibration and structure-borne noise. Fabreeka® or Fabcel® mounting pads are sometimes used to isolate equipment on board ships or oil rigs. Fabreeka's® Fabcel® pads have been used effectively to isolate an entire turbine generator system on a large cruise ship.
Additionally, some of Fabreeka's® business in the marine industry comes from Fabreeka® OEM parts. Fabreeka® bushings and washers have been used as part of the tie-down bolt system for a generator support flange. This insures that the system will accommodate transient shock loads and not create a metal-to-metal path for structure-borne noise.
